Don Cornelius, the “Soul Train” TV icon, was released on a $50,000 bond after being arrested on suspicion on felony domestic violence. He was later charged in connection with two domestic incidents involving his wife.

After pleading guilty to two felony obstruction charges, former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, was sentenced to four months in jail with five years of probation. For seven months, Kilpatrick had declared his innocence surrounding a steamy text messaging and misconduct scandal involving his top aide Christine Beatty.

O.J. Simpson got at least nine years for armed robbery and kidnapping.   Face stretched in a grimace, celebrity bad boy O.J. Simpson, 61, was led out of a Nevada courtroom after he was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison on convictions stemming from a 2007 fracas in a Las Vegas hotel.

Wesley Snipes was jailed after being charged for failing to file income tax returns from 1999 to 2001. Snipes said he was misled by financial advisers.

Michael Vick is serving a 23-month prison sentence for bankrolling a dogfighting ring. He was suspended from the NFL indefinitely without pay and lost all his major endorsement sponsors.
