Capital City Links Hosts 27th Annual “Day-Out” for Local Seniors

Members of Capital City Links Saluted Seniors at Annual Luncheon

 (May 27, 2009) - District seniors enjoyed a “Spring Day-Out” with the Capital City Links at the Alice Bowie Coleman Luncheon and Boutique on May 16. Pierre Vigilance, director of the District of Columbia Department of Health, served as keynote speaker and discussed issues and programs of importance to senior citizens in Washington, D.C.

The Alice Bowie Coleman Senior Citizens Luncheon and Boutique is named for Alice Bowie Coleman, a District resident who founded the event and coordinated it for over 20 years. Entertainment was provided by pianist George Smallwood and local seniors received recognition, prizes, lunch and free gifts.
