Voter Registration Guidelines for D.C. and Maryland:

 

As the historic Nov. 4 presidential election nears, voter registration has become a paramount focus for African Americans. Voter registration deadlines for the upcoming election are Oct. 6 in the District and Oct. 14 in Maryland. All registration forms must be postmarked at least 30 days prior to the election for eligibility in D.C. and 21 days prior to the election in Maryland. District residents may visit any public library, fire house or police station in Washington, D.C. to register.  For more information about registering to vote, visit the following Web sites and locations:
