Mygi Harris was born in Ethiopia and came to the United States 10 years ago. Now, as a U.S. citizen, her work has become a vehicle to respond to and reflect on the cultures that have become part of her.
These collages and ink-resist illustrations are part of her early work. She now works three-dimensionally on costumes and head pieces for performances and has started to work with film and video.
