Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina is not walking down the aisle any time soon, the teenager's aunt recently announced.
According to ABC News, a recently released clip from the Houston family's new Lifetime reality series "The Houstons: On Our Own" sent Internet blogs into a frenzy, leading many to believe that the 19-year-old was engaged.
In the clip, Brown flashes a sapphire ring that belonged to her late mother and announces to her family that she and childhood friend Nick Gordon are engaged. Rumors of the pair's engagement have been circulating since the summer.
But in an interview with ABC News, Pat Houston, the teen's aunt, shot down the engagement rumors.
"A lot of teenagers, when they hit 18, think they're grown," Houston told ABC. "They think they know it all, they think they know about relationships. You just have to be there to navigate and guide them."
She added, "You have to hope that their feelings will not get hurt, but they will."
Many people have been concerned about the teen's well-being since her mother's death in February. TMZ recently reported that her grandmother, Cissy Houston, wants to hold the teen's multi-million dollar inheritance from her mother until she's older.
Sources say that the elder Houston believes the teen is currently surrounded by numerous negative influences and could blow the fortune if it's given to her now.
