Ariza Lifts Wizards to 3-1 Series Lead


Forward Trevor Booker went off, scoring a team-high 30 points, including 6-of-10 from the beyond the three-point arc, to lead the Washington Wizards to a 98-89 win over the Chicago Bulls in game four of the Eastern Conference first round series on April 27. The Wizards now lead the series, 3-1.

Washington controlled the tempo and lead throughout most of the game. Washington took a double-digit lead early on, surging to 28-18 by the end of the first quarter. Chicago would never get any closer as Washington led 55-40 by halftime and then by 82-62 at the end of the third quarter.

Ariza was deadly from three-point range, killing the Bulls with three after three. Guard Bradley Beal was also on fire from beyond the arc, making 2-of-3 three-point range. He finished with 18 points. John Wall had 15 points with 10 assists while center Marcin Gortat had 17 points.

Forward Taj Gibson had a game-high 32 points with 7 boards for the Bulls in the loss. Joakim Noah had a double-double of 10 points with 15 rebounds for Chicago.
Game five of the series will be on April 29 in Chicago. Tip-off at 8 p.m.
