Utility’s comprehensive community outreach effort intended to provide residential customers with wide array of energy management information
BALTIMORE, Aug.18, 2011 – Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), today announced it is hosting a Residential Smart Energy Fair, intended to provide customers with comprehensive energy management information. The BGE Residential Smart Energy Fair takes place from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Randallstown Community Center located at 3505 Resource Drive in Baltimore County.
“BGE customers are increasingly interested in ways to manage energy usage and BGE is committed to providing them with information about conservation, safety, limited income assistance, billing options and a variety of BGE programs,” said Jeannette M. Mills, senior vice president and chief customer officer for BGE. “Together with our co-sponsors, we are providing BGE customers with real time, practical information that they can use right now, and sharing exciting and innovative ideas to address their future energy needs.”
BGE’s Residential Smart Energy Fair will include the following:
-Opportunities for customers to speak one-on-one to customer care representatives
-Energy conservation management demonstrations
-Kid-friendly energy conservation and safety demonstrations
-Limited income energy assistance information
-Information for hearing and speech impaired customers
-BGE Smart Energy Savers Program
BGE’s alternative fuel vehicle will also be on-site. BGE’s Residential Smart Energy Fair is supported by the Baltimore County Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP), Community Assistance Network (CAN), Johns Hopkins Injury Free Coalition for Kids Pediatric Injury Prevention, Maryland Relay, Mass Transit Administration (MTA), Social Security Administration (SSA), and University of MD Extension – Baltimore City.
