Sen. Cardin at Coppin
Sen. Ben Cardin will host a roundtable discussion, 1 p.m., July 19, in the Talon Center at Coppin State University in Baltimore with students who are being impacted by the blocking of efforts to save student loan interest rates from doubling on July 1. Sen. Cardin is a co-sponsor of the Keep Student Loans Affordable Act of 2013 and has been supportive of additional legislation that would keep student interest rates lower. The discussion will be

ArtsCentric Production
ArtsCentric will launch a new production of Ntozake Shange’s provocative play “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.” The production will run from July 26-28 at Garrison Forest School’s Garland Theater, 300 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, Md. ArtsCentric will give a portion of the proceeds from the production to House of Ruth Maryland, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence.
