Governor to announce Health Care Reform Coordinating Council to implement federal reforms in Maryland
ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 24, 2010) – Governor Martin O’Malley will address the impact of federal health care reforms on Maryland families at an event outside Anne Arundel Medical Center today, where the Governor will announce the creation of the Maryland Health Care Reform Coordinating Council. The Coordinating Council is intended to implement the reforms as efficiently and effectively as possible for the thousands of Maryland families who will benefit.
Governor O’Malley will be joined by medical professionals, as well as Lt. Governor Anthony Brown and Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Secretary John Colmers.
