Hearing Will Reveal the Results of a New GAO Undercover Investigation
Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD), chairman of the Judiciary Terrorism and Homeland Security Subcommittee, will chair a hearing on Thursday, July 29, at 2:30 PM ET entitled “The Passport Issuance Process: Closing the Door to Fraud, Part II.” The hearing will reveal the results of a new undercover investigation conducted by the Government Accountability Office at the Subcommittee’s request and follows up on a Subcommittee hearing chaired by Senator Cardin on May 5, 2009.
