Washington, DC – Continuing his conversation with Marylanders about health care reform, on Thursday, September 2 at 12:30pm, U.S. Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD) will meet with health care providers and medical professionals at Mercy Medical Center to discuss how the new law will benefit those on the front lines of our health care system and their patients. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was signed into law on March 23. Many benefits began immediately, while others will go into effect September 23 and January 1, 2011.
