SENATOR CARDIN TO ANNOUNCE INTRODUCTION OF MAJOR NEW CYBERSECURITY BILL AT UMD’S LAUNCH OF NEW CYBERSECURITY CENTER



U.S. Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD), chairman of the Terrorism and Homeland Security Subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee, today will announce that he is introducing legislation to ensure the security and safety of Internet communications. Senator Cardin will discuss his proposal at the University of Maryland, College Park, launching of its new Maryland Cybersecurity Center. Mike McConnell, former director of National Intelligence and Current Executive Vice President of Booz Allen Hamilton, will also participate in the launch of the new Cybersecurity Center.
