Comptroller Franchot to be Sworn in for Another Four Years of Taxpayer Service

- Peter Franchot’s Inauguration Marks Second Term as Comptroller -

WHO: Comptroller Peter Franchot

WHAT: Comptroller Peter Franchot will continue his tenure as Maryland’s 33rd Comptroller with the official swearing-in ceremony. Public officials from all over the state as well as family and supporters will be on hand as the Comptroller takes the oath of office for a second time. He will also speak to guests about his vision for the next four years.

Peter Franchot first assumed the position as Comptroller of Maryland in January 2007. Prior to his statewide office, he served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing the 20th legislative district in Montgomery County, Maryland from 1987 to 2006.
