Focus of Summit Will Be On Jobs & Economic Empowerment
On Friday, April 1, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) will hold a Faith-based Summit for approximately 100 Prince George’s County religious leaders. Participants in the Summit will include representatives from the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnership and the Collective Empowerment Group. The Collective Empowerment Group includes African-American religious leaders who strongly advocate for ways to increase economic empowerment. Senator Cardin also has invited the faith-based liaisons from federal agencies to attend the Summit.
