LT. GOVERNOR BROWN TO HONOR ASBURY METHODIST VILLAGE FOR 85 YEARS OF SERVICE TO MARYLAND’S SENIOR COMMUNITY



GAITHERSBURG, Md. (May 10, 2011) – TOMORROW, Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown will attend the Asbury Methodist Village 85th Anniversary Luncheon where he will present a Governor’s Proclamation in honor of their service to Maryland’s senior community.

Founded on the grounds of the aptly named "Rolling Acres" dairy farm, Asbury Methodist Village has served the Gaithersburg area for 85 years. Originally a "Methodist Home for the Aged," the community rapidly grew to a sophisticated yet caring place where seniors of all denominations could enjoy a productive and healthy retirement.
