City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young’s Statement on the Passing of Former Del. Ruth M. Kirk

Baltimore, MD –. “I am deeply saddened and heartbroken by the passing of former Del. Ruth M. Kirk.

Del. Kirk was a longtime state legislator, who spent nearly three decades working to improve the lives of countless Baltimoreans, leaving an indelible mark on her beloved City of Baltimore along the way.

As a resident of Baltimore’s 44th legislative district I had the opportunity to witness first-hand Del. Kirk’s passion for serving the citizens of Baltimore.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Del. Kirk’s family during what is certainly a difficult period.
