Baltimore, Maryland -- U.S. Senator Ben Cardin announced that his report to be filed with the Federal Election Commission for the second quarter of 2011 will show that he has raised over $1 million during the last three months. Over 1,300 individuals gave to Senator Cardin in the second quarter, with Marylanders making up the majority of donors.
“I strive every day to tackle the serious challenges facing Marylanders and our entire nation. Helping to create and protect quality jobs, keeping our Bay healthy and our drinking water clean, and protecting seniors from efforts to slash Medicare and Social Security are at the top of my daily agenda,” said Senator Cardin. “It’s humbling to receive such an outpouring of support as I prepare for the 2012 campaign.”
Senator Cardin also will report having over $1.8 million cash on hand.
