Comptroller Visits Harford County and Baltimore City



- Comptroller Attends Bank Branch Grand Opening at Edgewood High School;
Tours Red Pump Elementary and Holabird Academy -

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will make a stop at Edgewood High School to help celebrate the grand opening of the school’s new bank branch. The bank is supported by Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union in an effort to teach students about the importance of saving and financial literacy. While in Harford County the Comptroller is visiting the brand new Red Pump Elementary School in Bel Air. He will tour the new building and discuss how the improvements benefit students and staff.

Stopping in Baltimore City, he will visit Holabird Academy to discuss plans with educators for significant renovations to the school building. The Baltimore City school board is asking the state Board of Public Works, which the Comptroller serves as a member of, for approval to proceed with renovation plans for the future school building.
