On Thursday, October 25, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) will visit the Catonsville Senior Center to discuss the importance of protecting Medicare and Social Security as a “guaranteed benefit.” As a member of the Senate Finance and Budget committees, Senator Cardin also will discuss the facts concerning Medicare and Social Security’s long-term fiscal health and what needs to be done to avoid the looming “fiscal cliff, which poses a serious threat to our economic recovery.
