BALTIMORE, Md. (November 9, 2012) – On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Lt. Governor Anthony Brown will participate in the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships (NCPPP) 2012 Annual Meeting in Arlington, Virginia. The Lt. Governor will be interviewed by NCPPP President and Chairman Robert Hebert about his leadership in promoting P3s in Maryland.
NCPPP is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 1985 as a forum for the brightest ideas and innovators in the partnership arena. The NCPPP’s mission is to advocate and facilitate the formation of P3’s at the federal, state and local levels, where appropriate, and to raise the awareness of governments and businesses of the means by which their cooperation can cost effectively provide the public with quality goods, services and facilities.
Lt. Governor Brown leads the O’Malley-Brown Administration’s economic development portfolio. He served as Chair of the Joint Legislative and Executive Commission on Oversight of Public-Private Partnerships, and during the 2012 session of the General Assembly he championed legislation to enhance the state’s framework for P3s for infrastructure projects.
