YORK CITY MAYOR ED KOCH
ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 1, 2013) – Governor Martin O’Malley issued the following statement on the passing of former New York City Mayor Ed Koch:
“I am saddened to learn of the passing of my friend, Ed Koch. He was a good mayor, a wise man of character, and a strong leader in tough times. He believed in the goodness of the people of New York City, a timeless attribute that amplifies his legacy.
"We will miss him dearly, and my thoughts are with his family at this time."
