WHAT:          Comptroller Franchot will tour Glen Burnie Park Elementary School in Glen Burnie to discuss recent maintenance funding requests as well as plans for future projects. The Board of Public Works, of which the Comptroller serves as a member, approved a request from Fiscal Year 13 for $271,000 in state funding to replace the school’s roof.

The Comptroller routinely visits schools around the state to see first hand the maintenance needs facing counties today and how state funds are currently be used to improve educational opportunities for students.
