BGE Employees Prepare Electric Service Restoration Materials for Field Deployment in Advance
of the Forecasted Winter Storm

WHAT: As part of BGE’s proactive actions in advance of this week’s forecasted winter storm, employees are preparing and stocking their vehicles with electric service restoration materials, including poles, wires, storm kits, safety materials and other electric restoration equipment.

WHY: BGE personnel, company field and contract crews are proactively preparing for the potential of extended power outages associated with the impending winter storm, forecasted to affect BGE’s central Maryland service area late Tuesday evening. As part of this effort, equipment required to restore electric service is being prepared for field deployment so that crews can respond to outage reports as safely and as quickly as possible.
