GOVERNOR O'MALLEY TO ATTEND UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SCHOOL OF MEDICINE GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY

ANNAPOLIS, MD (September 17, 2013) - Today, September 17, Governor Martin O'Malley will deliver remarks at a groundbreaking ceremony for the new University of Maryland School of Medicine Research Building (HSF III) in Baltimore. During the event, Governor O'Malley will be joined by Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

WHEN: Tuesday, September 17, at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: University of Maryland Medical Center Campus, Large Outdoor Tent, Pine Street (pedestrian only) between Baltimore and Fayette Streets, Baltimore, MD

Our better choices continue to keep Maryland on the cutting edge of science, discovery and innovation while creating jobs. Not only will this new facility at the University of Maryland School of Medicine create nearly 600 permanent jobs and nearly 3,000 construction jobs, but it will also prepare generations of Marylanders for the jobs of our 21st century global innovation economy.
