GOVERNOR O'MALLEY TO ANNOUNCE GRANTS FOR EARLY COLLEGE, DIGITAL LEARNING 

ANNAPOLIS, MD (September 17, 2013-  TomorrowWednesday, September 18, Governor Martin O'Malley will announce recipients of the Digital Learning Innovation Fund and the Early College Innovation Fund competitive grants. These funds are designed to promote programs that prepare students for jobs in the 21st Century economy. During the event, Governor O'Malley will be joined by State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lillian M. Lowery.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 18, at 12:15 p.m. (immediately following Board of Public Works)

WHERE: State House front steps, Annapolis, MD

Our better choices continue to increase access to post-secondary education, expand school systems’ use of new and emerging technologies and help equip students with the training they need to compete for jobs in high-demand fields in Maryland.  Working together with educators, parents and students, we can give our children the tools they need for the jobs of tomorrow.
