Comptroller to Announce Winner of First-Ever

 

Comptroller’s Cup at Maryland Brewers’ Harvest   

 

- 25 Craft Breweries from Throughout Maryland to Vie for Top Award -

WHAT:          Comptroller Peter Franchot will taste, celebrate and award the winners of the Comptroller’s Cup at the Maryland Brewers' Harvest -- an annual beer competition hosted by the Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM). Craft beer from more than 25 Maryland brewing companies will compete with 125 samples of fresh and local varieties. BAM members also will showcase small-batch and unique beers using locally-sourced ingredients. The world-class ales and lagers will be paired with creations of world-renowned Maryland chefs. BAM, a non-profit association of Maryland brewing companies, was founded in 1996 to promote and protect Maryland craft beer.
