Comptroller’s Office Continues Aggressive Gas Inspection Program as Prices Soar

- Inspections Ensure Consumers Get What They Pay For At The Pump –

WHAT: Comptroller Peter Franchot will join one of his field enforcement agents as he performs a surprise inspection of Exxon gas station at the corner of Falls Road and Coldspring Lane.

In these tough economic times, the Comptroller believes it is important that Maryland consumers, and those passing through our state, are getting the type of gas they are paying for at the pump.

If a station fails the motor fuel test, they are issued a stop sale and cannot sell the product until they have corrected the problem.
