Uplifting Minds II

Baltimore living legend, syndicated entertainment columnist (The Afro, The Baltimore Times), singer, songwriter, producer and musician, Rosa Pryor-Trusty will serve on the judges’ panel, 1 to 5 p.m., April 19, for the Baltimore “Uplifting Minds II” (ULMII) national talent competition. ULMII is to be held at Security Square Mall in Baltimore.

“ULMII” will arrive in Hollywood, California in June and October at the Celebrity Centre where – just as with the April 19 Baltimore event– it will offer an entertainment industry seminar panel (1 – 3pm) and national talent competition showcase (3 – 5pm). One winner in three categories – vocal, songwriting and dance – will win the ULMII Award.

Rosa is known as “Rambling Rose,” a name given to her by Nat “King” Cole when she was touring with him as a singer. She will join local entertainment business mogul Paul Gardner II (www.TheGardnerLawGroup.com); New Jersey vocal coach Nadiyah Kareem (Superstar Entertainment); Baltimore make-up artist/stylist Jenneane Collins (Rebellious Beauty), Baltimore talent manager Burt Wheeler (Wheeler Enterprises), and Los Angeles based talent manager Cordell Capone (Natalie Nunn, “Bad Girls Club”).

Rosa is founder and CEO of the Rosa Pryor Scholarship Fund which financially supports the tuition and fees of young artists ages 5 – 17 since 1991. She is also a local booking agent and talent manager. As a booking agent she provides talent for local clubs, casinos and hotels.

The competition will be hosted by comedian/actress Doresa Harvey, the Mid-Day Diva at Heaven 600 radio.

ULMII’s entertainment business panel will discuss the business of entertainment, public relations strategies, and branding. To pre-register for the seminar panel or to inquire about talent slots in the national talent competition log onto the event’s website www.UpliftingMinds2.com
