The Presidents’ RoundTable recently hosted a CEO briefing, Oct. 4, presenting Harrah’s Baltimore Contracting Outreach for Minority and Women-owned Businesses at the Frederick Douglass- Isaacs Myers Maritime Park Museum.
“With the announcement of Harrah’s Baltimore, our city can look forward to the ground-up development of a $300 million, 275,000 square foot facility that will bring more than 1200 part-time and fulltime jobs to the City and a large number of contracts to businesses throughout our state,” Maria Beckett, president PRT, in a statement.
She said too often the minority business owners find themselves out of the loop until the deals are done. Not this time.
Minority business leaders heard from the leadership of Caesar’s Entertainment Corporation and the Harrah’s Baltimore project team. They were apprised of the current status, project schedule and were given insight on business opportunities available during project development and beyond when the casino is operational.
