Three Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) students from Oxon Hill High School received a full four-year scholarship as part of the University of Maryland Incentive Awards Program. These students were recently honored for their academic excellence and achievement.
"This is unprecedented for our county", said Dr. Jean Paul Cadet, Principal of Oxon Hill High School. We have three students who were selected as recipients of this award, it's a great day here at Oxon Hill High School."
The students are: Dafonso Davage, David Egbufoama, and Chukwuma Odigwe.
"Im still in shock." said David Egbufoama. "I didn't think my name would be called, I'm speechless."
The Incentive Program offers students full tuition and living expenses at the University of Maryland College Park. Students also receive a supportive network of advisors, faculty/staff mentors and special programming while on campus.
