H. Russell Frisby Jr. Appointed to Pepco Holdings’ Board of Directors


Pepco Holdings has appointed H. Russell Frisby Jr. to its board of directors, the company announced Sept. 27.

“I’m very excited [to have been chosen for this role],” Frisby told the AFRO in a recent interview. “As a company, PEPCO is very committed to service reliability to the community and I’m looking forward to assisting in these efforts.”

Frisby is a partner with the Washington D.C. law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP in the firm’s energy and telecommunications division. In this role, he manages regulatory and corporate matters affecting industry associations, public utilities and firms in the energy, technology and communications sectors.

Prior to joining Stinson Morrison Hecker, Frisby was a partner at law firms Fleishman and Harding and Lockhart Nicholson Graham.

Frisby was the founding chair of the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce and also served on numerous boards of directors including the Afro-American Newspapers, the United Way of the Central Maryland and the Baltimore Museum of Art, among many others.

Frisby’s professional experience also includes serving as a member of the Administrative Conference of the United States and the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science-international relations from Swarthmore College and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.

We will benefit greatly from his extensive knowledge and insight in the utility and energy industries.”

In addition to his new position on the PEPCO Holdings board, Frisby will continue as a partner with Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP.
