Sirius XM Radio personality Joe Madison was recently elected to the American Red Cross’ Board of Governors.

Additional honorees also elected to the board include Afsaneh M. Beschloss, Jon M. Huntsman Sr. and Tina M. Schiel.

“We welcome these extraordinary individuals to the board of governors,” Red Cross chairman Bonnie McElveen-Hunter said in a statement. “They are talented and respected community and business leaders who are committed to helping others.

Together, we will ensure the American Red Cross can carry out its great humanitarian mission and is there for families and individuals across the country and around the world in their hour of greatest need.”

The Red Cross’ Board of Governors is responsible for overseeing the business and affairs of the organization. The new board members were elected for three-year terms by delegates from local Red Cross chapters and blood regions across the country at the annual meeting of the Red Cross held on May 22. The board now has 20 governors.
