    Latrese Ford, 34, unemployed mother of five, calls some friends to vote. She wants a job in childcare. “I feel confident that President Obama will be reelected. The lies that we heard from Mitt Romney were unbelievable! I also think that we should get our house in order locally. Why should mothers, like myself, wait for years to get housing when the District government is providing immediate assistance and housing vouchers for ex-felons? Something is wrong with this picture. Today is a day for not only voting but for people to come together to express their frustrations about local politics and there was lots of it.” (AFRO Photos by Valencia Mohammed)
