CBC Spouses Honors Those in the Arts

CBC Spouses Honors Those in the Arts

The CBC Spouses 16th Annual Celebration of Leadership in the Fine Arts honored three African Americans for their accomplishments in the arts: Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones; Tony Award Winning Producer, Director and Actor, Kenny Leon and Award Winning Author, Tayari Jones. Numerous performing and visual arts students were awarded scholarships. Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings was the event chair and Mereda Davis Johnson, Esq. is Chair of the CBC Spouses. The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Northwest, DC was the site for the program. Sponsors included Flo Wine, Heineken, The Walt Disney Company, Verizon, Duke Energy Corporation and Kraft.
