According to blackvoices.com two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith,39, recently cleared up rumors that he and wife Jada are Scientologists in an interview with Fox News columnist Roger Friedman.

When asked if was in fact a scientologist, Smith replied: “I am not.”

Allegations of the Smith’s involvement in Scientology persist namely because of their close friendship with outspoken Scientologists Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and because they funded a school in Los Angeles that used a Scientology study program.

“You can take different parts of things you like and put tem all together,” the Philadelphia-bred actor said. He also spoke recently with Anonymous, an anti-Scientology group.

In an interview with New York Daily News earlier this year, Smith had this to say about his religious beliefs: “I am a Christian. I am a student of all religions. And I respect all people and all paths.”

Just because he denies his obvious connections with Scientology doesn't mean he's "cleared the matter up".

Why does he always say "I am not a Scientologist" when every one believes his WIFE is? He admits that his children use scientology to study. Why would he give away free coupons to for scientology stress tests that use a machine called an e-meter and then claim later that he is unaware of what an e-meter IS? (btw the stress/personality test is the only thing Scientology gives away for free) If Will Smith really studies religions as he ALWAYS claims he would be able to speak about scientology and know what an e-meter is. (e-meters where not mentioned in this article but the source for this article DID mention them)

If Will Smith cleared up" rumors then the questions wouldn't still be coming. I'm only surprised by Will Smith giving any attention to such an openly racist group like Hubbard's Scientology.

It's ok for a Scientologist to lie about anything to further the goals of Scientology, like "clearing the planet", according to L Ron Hubbard

The cult aren't going to take their claws out of will without a fight. Mark my words. Lets see if this school really drops the cult indoctrination program called "study tech".

Fact check much; obvioiusly not. Jada Smith is an ADMITTED $cientologist, and Mr. Smith's denial did not include his wife.
