“You taught me everything. Everything you’ve given me I’ll always keep it inside.
You’re the driving force in my life, yeah. There isn’t anything or anyone that I could be and it just wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t have you by my side. You were there for me to love and care for me when skies were gray. Whenever I was down you were always there to comfort me and no one else can be what you have been to me you will always be. You will always be the girl in my life for all times. Mama, Mama you know I love you. Mama, Mama you’re the queen of my heart. Your love is like tears from the stars, yes it is. Mama I just want you to know lovin’ you is like food to my soul. You’re always there for me. Have always been around for me even when I was bad. You showed me right from my wrong. Yes you did and you took up for me when everyone was downin’ me. You always did understand. You gave me strength to go on. There were so many times looking back when I was so afraid and then you’d come to me and say to me I can face anything. And no one else can do what you have done for me. Mama, Mama you know I love you.” Boyz II Men

Thursday morning I planned to leave for my annual trip to the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival at noon allowing me time to visit my mother at Upper Chesapeake Hospital in Belair, Maryland and take Route One to Rehoboth. God had other plans. I didn’t leave home until a quarter to three, although I was ready at noon. There was something delaying my departure that I couldn’t explain.
“Can’t sleep at night and you wonder why. Maybe God is trying to tell you something. Crying all night long, something’s gone wrong. Maybe God is trying to tell you something.” Mississippi Mass Choir
I arrived at the hospital around 3:30 p.m. At 5:41 p.m. my sister Cheryl and I were with our mother when she transitioned peacefully to her new home where the streets are paved with gold and she can walk around Heaven all day and not become tired or weary. God knew what his plan was an included me in his plan.

The next time your plans don’t work the way you planned, or things are happening that you can’t explain maybe God’s trying to tell you something.
