Goal is to Help Small Businesses Create Jobs

On Friday, April 29, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) will hold a Legislative Update for Baltimore area small business owners to discuss legislation that will help create jobs. The Senator, a member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, has invited Stephen Umberger, Baltimore District Director of the Small Business Administration, and staff from the Small Business Committee to provide information about loan programs, access to capital and the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, which was enacted into law last September. The new law provides small businesses with $12 billion in tax cuts, increases small business lending, and provides access to private capital.
