BGE Invites Members of the Media to See the 811 Bike at Friday’s Lineman for a Day Event
Nationally touring custom motorcycle stops at BGE’s “Lineman for Day” event in White Marsh to emphasize the importance of calling 811 before digging
WHO: Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) safety and training personnel
WHAT: BGE will be hosting the 811 Bike, a custom motorcycle built by Paul Jr. Designs for One Call Concepts which manages one-call center operations, such as Miss Utility in Maryland, in 14 states and DC. Featured on episodes of American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior on the Discovery Channel, the 811 Bike was designed to highlight the importance of calling 811 before digging. This is critical not only for safety, but also service reliability, a focus of BGE’s “Lineman for Day” event that gives members of media the opportunity to experience first-hand the techniques, and also challenges, associated with restoring service following storms.
WHERE: BGE’s White Marsh Learning and Training Center
11350 Pulaski Highway
White Marsh, MD
Note: In order to participate in the event, members of the media must wear sturdy shoes and secure pants. There will be no exceptions. For security purposes, please provide names of individuals who will be attending to Rachael Lighty email@example.com <mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
