CARDIN TO HELP MORGAN STATE KICK OFF STEM CAREER
AND JOBS EXPO FOR STUDENTS AND VETERANS
TODAY - , U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) and the Morgan State University Center for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Education will welcome Maryland middle, high school and undergraduate students and military veterans to a STEM Education, Career and Jobs Expo. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore academic and career opportunities in the fields of cyber security, manufacturing, and biomedical and environmental sciences. Representatives from state and federal agencies, private companies, military, and Morgan State University will lead workshops, presentations and special exhibits on training and job creation within these fields and industries.
“Our nation’s economic future depends on a strong pipeline of students and personnel who have the training and skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM),” said Senator Cardin. “I’m proud to be a partner with Morgan State to help ensure that the United States remains the center for high-quality jobs and innovative enterprise. More schools should follow their lead in preparing the next generation for STEM careers in Maryland and beyond.”
