Comptroller to Wrap Up Shop Maryland for the Holidays


Tour in Mt. Washington

WHAT:          Comptroller Peter Franchot will wind up his annual holiday shopping tour throughout the state with visits to an antiques store and two boutiques in Mt. Washington on Friday, December 13, 2013. The comptroller will begin at O’Malley’s Antiques, which offers 18th, 19th and 20th century American, English and Continental antiques. Across the street at La Chic Boutique, he will get to experience the store’s well known emphasis on customer service. Comptroller Franchot’s final stop will be at Something Else, a “clothing boutique with an eclectic assortment of clothing, jewelry and accessories.”


Located in the northwestern part of Baltimore City, Mt. Washington offers a variety of shopping experiences at its many boutiques, salons, galleries, restaurants and cafes. This holiday season, the comptroller has visited La Plata,Cumberland, Laurel, Annapolis, Easton and Cambridge to promote shopping local to keep Maryland taxpayer dollars in the Maryland economy.
