Antoine Dyson, 42, of Washington, D.C., has been sentenced to a four-year prison term on charges stemming from a Capitol Hill robbery and a theft from an automobile in a downtown parking lot, U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen Jr. announced July 25 in a statement.

Dyson pled guilty in May 2013 to robbery and first-degree theft. According to evidence, Dyson stole a briefcase containing an iPad and an iPod from an SUV parked at the Grand Hyatt in the 1000 block of G Street NW. Months later, he stole a wallet from a woman’s purse at the Matchbox restaurant in the 500 block of 8th Street SE. He is suspected in more than 70 car break-ins from January 2011 to November 2012.
