Howard sophomore quarterback Kalen Johnson tossed two touchdowns passes, but the Bison were still blasted by the North Carolina A&T Aggies, 65-14, during the Aggies’ Homecoming game on Oct. 24 in Greensboro, N.C. The loss dropped Howard’s overall record to 0-7 on the season, 0-5 against the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

Howard briefly led the Aggies after Johnson threw his second touchdown pass of the game in the second quarter. The score put the Bison ahead, 14-13, at the time. But that’s when everything went south for Howard as the Aggies scored 52 unanswered points to rout the Bison.

N.C. A&T scored a total of nine touchdowns in the game, finding the end zone on offense, defense and special teams. Junior running back Tarik Cohen led the way with three touchdown runs for the Aggies.

The win for the Aggies advanced their overall record to 6-1, 4-0 against the MEAC, maintaining their first-place status in the conference standings.

Howard is currently dead last in the MEAC rankings.

Next – The Bison return to Washington, D.C., to host Savannah State (1-5 overall, 1-3 MEAC) on Oct. 31.
