Comptroller to Emphasize Importance of Financial Literacy

WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will talk to students about the importance of financial literacy during opening remarks this morning at the Maryland chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) conference in Glen Burnie. The FBLA is a co-curricular career and technology student organization that functions as a state chapter within the national Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda. Members are given the opportunity to develop their business education, leadership and communication skills, engage in service projects and business-related events within the community and receive recognition for their efforts at the national level.
