Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts was relieved of his duties today by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, according to a statement released by the mayor’s office earlier this afternoon. According to the statement Batts will be replaced on an interim basis by Deputy Police Commissioner Kevin Davis. AFRO reporter Roberto Alejandro was one of the last journalists to have a one-on-one interview with Batts just a few days ago.
